After the successful run of premium SUV, Rexton, Mahindra is preparing itself to unveil Korando from its Korean subsidiary. Korando is one of the flagship models of SsangYong which has been in production for more than 26 years. It is a recognised model in many countries and has led the global sales chart for SsangYong, in the last few months, after the ownership of the company was taken over by Mahindra. The Indian auto major is performing market research to find out the best time to launch this executive vehicle in the country.
SsangYong Rexton which was launched in India in October, 2012 is having a positive response in the market. The India release has also geared up sales for Korean auto marque globally. With the XUV500, it has found a position as premium SUV in Mahindra portfolio.
The company might rollout Korando by the end of 2013. The car is a mid-size, five-seater SUV which has all-wheel drive system to strengthen its driving caliber. The marque has blend aggression with beauty to bring out a handsome wagon. The vehicle may come in petrol as well as diesel versions with a 2.0L motor. This premium vehicle may be priced at Rs 15 lakh in India.
