Tata Motors is all set to roll out the high-performance oriented version of the Indica Vista diesel hatchback today. The Indica Vista D90 will now come with a more powerful engine and a plethora of new, exciting additions. Tata has priced the car at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Indica Vista D90 will be available with a new engine option — a new 1.3-litre Fiat sourced “Quadrajet” engine that will belt out 90 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. According to ARAI, the new engine will deliver a fuel efficiency of 21.12 kmpl.
This new trim will come with a revised instrument cluster, touch screen stream with satellite navigation, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, one shot power windows, spoiler and contrast color roof, multi-information display, dual airbags and ABS (standard on all D90 variants. The top-end ZX+ version has been priced at Rs 6.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will come with an optional body kit that will include a new bumper with spoiler and side skirts.
Tata Motors have tweaked the suspension and brakes for better handling and ride quality. Even the NVH levels have been slightly improved in the new vehicle. The new Tata Indica Vista D90 will be available in five exciting shades of Spice Red, Porcelain White, Jet Silver, Cavern Grey, and Ultra Violet (new color).
