Volkswagen Makes Its Polo and Vento Pricier

Two of the top selling models of Volkswagen have now come out with increased prices. The charming hatchback, Polo and the elegant saloon Vento now get additional features which has increased their costs. The German auto maker made the announcement about this price hike yesterday. Volkswagen believes in making their cars buyable by adding value to its products.

The Polo hatchback which comes with 1.2L petrol and diesel motors now gets a new audio system which has Bluetooth connectivity. The RCD 320 audio system replaces the RCD 310 model from highline variant of this small car. The cabin gets Climatronic air conditioner in top end variants of the car. Earlier this vehicle had a price tag in the range Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Volkswagen Vento gets same additional features that are available in the new Polo. The saloon was priced in the range Rs 7.29 Lakh to Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Both these models will be costlier by 2.27 percent which may add about Rs 13,500 to Rs 19,000 on the prices of hatch and Rs 20,000 to Rs 27,000 on the prices of sedan.

The German automobile company may roll out its Polo GTD in India this year. The car will have a powerful 1.6L engine and will wear a sporty outfit. With sports hatches expected to be launched by other auto makers, this will be one interesting segment for the year.
