Jaguar’s C-Type racer that fetched the British marque their first racing title at the 24-hour Le Mans race in 1951, is all set to premiere in India at the 3rd edition of Cartier ‘Travel With Style’ Concours d’Elegance 2013.
The C-type racer to be showcased in the event is the world-famous Jaguar in which Sir Stirling Moss won the 1952 Reims Grand Prix. This was also the car that later went on to claim victory at the 1952 Monaco GP at Boreham and Turnberry, again in the hands of Moss.
This heritage Jaguar will be put on display at the Worli Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Mumbai from 2nd to 7th February and will be showcased at the Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours d’Elegance from the 9th to 10th February. The event will be graced by Sir Stirling Moss.
Cartier Concours d’Elegance is the most awaited event for vintage car enthusiasts that will showcase some of the country’s finest heritage cars. The first edition of this biennial event was held in 2008 and the second in 2011.
