India’s largest vehicle manufacturer, the Tata Motors Group, have crossed the 1 lakh unit global wholesales mark in 2013. The company and its subsidiaries have achieved a wholesales of 1,01,112 units in the month of January 2013. With this the cumulative wholesales has come up to 9,82,110 units during the fiscal.
The commercial vehicles wholesales for Tata stood up to 47,231 units during the month. The subsidiaries include Tata Daewoo, Tata and Tata Hispano Carrocera firms. In passenger vehicles segment, the global wholesale from the core company and other firms it owns was 53,881 units. Out of these, 15,708 vehicles were from Tata, 6,440 cars from Jaguar and 31,733 cars were from the Land Rover. With this, the company has sold 498,650 vehicles in the current fiscal.
The auto major had launched its Vista D90 model in the country during the first week of February. The company aims to develop and launch new products and will be shelling out Rs 3000 crores on different activities during 2013-2014. The company may also be starting off a plant in Romania where it will be producing vehicles for European markets.
