Renault India Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its wing in the country by launching a warehouse in Talegaon MIDC, Pune. The warehouse belongs to the International Parts Center (IPC) network and is spreaded across an area of 50,000 sq. ft. The warehouse allows Renault to amalgamate and source vehicle parts in big chunks from various local suppliers. The Alliance Overseas Manufacturing plants (Renault and Nissan assembly lines) use these parts for manufacturing.
Marc Nassif, MD, Renault India, said, “The IPC in Pune is an integral part of Renault India's efforts towards providing customers across the globe with competitive parts. With the IPC, we can leverage not just the presence of competitive suppliers in India, but also benefit from savings through volume consolidation - a strategy that enables localization and affordability, while also leveraging the high standards of quality offered by our supply partners in the country."
