Honda’s much-awaited, eagerly-anticipated, sub-4 metre car, the Amaze will come with two fabulous engine options — a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel engine.
The peppy petrol mill is expected to make around 89 horses of power and yield a mighty torque output of 109 Nm. Honda claims that its petrol powerplant will do a 0-100km/h spin within 13 seconds.
The 1.5 litre diesel engine, Honda’s first, is expected to yield 99 bhp and 208 Nm on tap. The ARAI claimed fuel efficiency would be 25.8kmpl, making it the most fuel efficient car available in India.
Honda has attuned the engine to suit the Indian driving conditions. The driveability is exceedingly good too.
The diesel variant will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the petrol Amaze will get have both 5-speed manual as well as a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The pre-order bookings for the Amaze have already commenced. So expect the official launch of the car very soon. The Amaze boasts of superior efficiency, great quality and lots of space – something that Honda lovers would lap up with joy.
