To counterbalance the cost of OBD (on-board diagnostics) compliance changes, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the second largest manufacturer of passenger cars in India, has announced a price hike across all its models. Be ready to shell out from Rs. 575 to Rs. 2,830 extra on every Hyundai car purchase.
Talking about this, Hyundai Motor India Ltd's Sales & Marketing Vice President Rakesh Srivastava said, "The price increase has been necessitated due to On Board Diagnostic Compliance Changes (OBDC). We will try to minimise the hike so as to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers.”
According to the company sources, "The price increase was necessitated due to the On Board Diagnostic Compliance Changes (OBDC). We have increased the prices in the range of Rs.575 to Rs.2,830 across all the models. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimise the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers."
The hike has been effective from Monday (April 1, 2013).
