Maruti Launched DZire Campaign to Compete Honda Amaze

Responding to Honda Amaze tough competition, Maruti Suzuki has conducted “mileage drive rally" campaign for DZire (an entry level sedan) across 31 cities in India.

Maruti Suzuki India Vice President (Marketing) Manohar Bhat commented, "Competition is in all segment of the cars we sell. We welcome all competition. Our cars speak for themselves by their performance. We are celebrating the 5th year of the Dzire and so we thought of conducting such a mileage rally to connect with our customers."

DZire has been the best selling sedan in the last five years in India with total sales volume of 5.5 lakh units. With intensifying competition, Maruti DZire‘s dominance is facing tough competition from rival Honda’s newly launched Amaze. Honda Amaze price in India range between Rs. 5.99 – Rs. 7.60 lakh (diesel version) and Rs. 4.99 lakh – Rs. 7.50 lakh (petrol version). On the other hand, Dzire, comes with a price tag of Rs. 4.92 lakh – Rs. 6.74 lakh (petrol variant) and Rs. 5.99 lakh – Rs. 7.5 lakh (diesel variant).

In terms of fuel efficiency, DZire offers 19.1 kmpl for petrol and 23.4 kmpl for diesel version. On the other hand, Amaze offers 18 kmpl (petrol) and 25.8 kmpl (diesel).

Recently, Maruti Suzuki India launched its limited edition of Regal celebrating 5th anniversary of Swift DZire. "Dzire remains the most economical model in its class in terms of overall cost of ownership. What we offer is luxury, mileage and value for money," Bhat said.

The mileage drive rally has attracted 2,100 participants across 31 cities in India.
