Auto shows take place throughout the year at different parts of the world. But vintage car shows are something that gain place in schedules of only few automobile enthusiasts. One such event which takes place in Essen, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany is little known to many enthusiasts. Techno Classica, which takes place during spring of every year, is one of the largest car shows where one can find products from dealers and car clubs and the event also features automobile auctions which are held by Coys. With vendors selling car accessories, clothing, die-cast auto crafts and literature the event can turn out to be a feast for automobile lovers.
Techno Classica celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and for the occasion there were about 2500 cars in display with over 230 clubs participating during the event. The overall area reserved for this show crossed 29 acres and more than two lakh people visited the show.
The show is known for vintage models displayed by some European automakers that have rich heritage. Some of the brands that showcase their auto crafts during the show are Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Opel, Ferrari, Jaguar, Mini, Volkswagen and Volvo. From rebuilt vintage radios to interior fabrics and leathers, different types of accessories were available in Techno Classica this year.
