Mahindra & Mahindra, auto major of India, launched Bolero Maxi Truck Plus that comes with a price tag of Rs 4.33 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck was rolled out last year which has attracted good number of customers. The company sold 1.03 lakh units in the last fiscal. The new variant has been launched to meet the increasing need of the city goods transportation.
"The Bolero Maxi Truck Plus has been developed on Mahindra's rugged Bolero Pick-up platform and is conceptualised to cater to the needs of urban goods transportation," Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Automotive Division Chief Executive Pravin Shah said.
The vehicle is equipped with 2523 cc engine that has common rail technology and is BS4 compliant. The engine is tweaked to give best in class fuel economy of 17.7 kmpl. The vehicle is also endowed with a cargo box (40.6 sq ft) and a cargo capacity of 1150 Kg.
"We have recognised the city congestion what we all see and how to be more fuel efficient and how to manoeuvre in the lanes and by lanes of the small cities. So considering all these aspects, we have built-in the best in this product offering. Also, the new product is appropriately priced as the product will enable the customer to recover more than one he pays for (it)," Shah said.
