The new Volvo V40 is now launched in India. The Cross Country hatch is priced around Rs. 28.5 lakh and is likely to compete with Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes A-Class. Unlike recent trends seen in the auto sector, Volvo has not gone for a price sensitive auto car.
The new luxury hatch is rich in features such as IAQS (interior air quality system), heated front & rear seats, electric front seats, adaptive cruise control, daylight sensing daytime running LEDs, blind spot information system, Bluetooth hands free system, park assist etc. The Volvo V40 engine is powered by 2.0-litre, five cylinder, diesel engine that exhibits power of 150 bhp and torque of 350 Nm. The new hatch comes with a mileage of 16.81 kmpl.
