Mahindra First Choice Wheels, the multi-brand pre-owned car business of the Indian SUV giant is aiming to expand its dealership network more aggressively to gain higher sales. The business sold 46,000 cars during the last financial year and is aiming to increase the figures to 65,000 units by the end of this fiscal. In order to reach this target and accomplish bigger goals like reaching annual sales of 1,00,000 cars by 2017, the company is focusing on having more outlets across India.
The company which currently has 263 outlets spread in different parts of the nation aims to expand it up to 350 shops by the end of this financial year. It believes that, to accomplish sales of 1,00,000 units per year it must have 500 dealerships by 2017. Mahindra First Choice Wheels is targeting tier-II cities and towns for this expansion, so that it can reach more and more customers throughout India.
Through its ‘Autobid’ auction program the business had touched 1 lakh total sales unit landmark in February, this year. There were about 7500 auctions conducted through this platform in about 900 locations.
