Renault India Private Limited announced sales of 6,007 units even in tough market conditions in June 2013. The brand has grown eight times on a year-to-year basis. In June 2012, the company managed to sell 787 units of vehicles and in June 2013, the auto maker has sold 6,007 units of vehicles.
Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. said: “The Renault brand is continuing to see increasing visibility and acceptability among Indian customers, despite a challenging market." He further added, “With the reliability and performance of Renault’s products, the widespread reach of our dealer network as well as the growing customer recognition of our brand, we are confident of continued growth in the near term.”
Renault has a range of popular cars in India including the Duster which accounted for selling 4,523 units. Its Renault Scala sold 772 units, 497 units of Pulse and 215 units of Fluence have been sold. The brand also exports its popular SUV, the Duster, to right-hand drive markets. Over the years, Renault’s world-class innovations and superior technological tools has built for itself a brand identify which is recognised by Indian auto consumers.
