One of the leading brands of commercial vehicle market, Ashok Leyland, has declared about the launch of a new LCV by unveiling the Stile. This new automobile is expected to be launched during festive season of this year. The auto giant has joined hands with Japanese car maker Nissan to build this new car. A lot of its features and build are borrowed from Nissan Evalia. Ashok Leyland Stile will be manufactured in the plant of Nissan which is based in Oragadam, Chennai. This new MPV is the second product developed by Nissan and Ashok Leyland jointly. The first product is the LCV Dost which is 1.25 ton payload mini-truck powered by a 58 bhp engine.
Ashok Leyland Stile is a people mover which will be offered in diesel and CNG variants. The 7-8 seater MPV will aid in transport of commodities and people and hence will be useful in travel and other businesses which involve cargo transport. They may also be useful as ambulance owing to its functionality and manoeuvrability. The joint venture will also be rolling out Partner which is another LCV positioned in a segment above Dost.
