Nissan recently launched upgraded version of its Micra and renamed it as Micra Active. The marque has also been planning to update Sunny to give it a competitive edge in Indian market. One of the most recent updates on this news is that the new Nissan Sunny that will be rolled out in India will be getting aesthetic uplifts in its exterior. With chrome garnish on front and rear end and design changes in front grille the car will look sportier, grand and more aggressive compared to existing model. Newly designed alloy wheels and front bumpers are also expected in this upcoming car. Coming to the engine and drivetrain, the car may retain 1.5L diesel and petrol engines and continue to offer CVT and 5-speed manual transmission types which are currently available in the model sold in market today. The marque is hoping to boost sales of its sedan through this upgrade.
Nissan indicated its India centricity by unveiling Datsun Go, a compact hatchback, few weeks ago. Through this the company is prepared to re-launch Datsun, a brand name which had been wiped off from Nissan portfolio decades ago.
