Japanese auto maker Nissan has been pretty active in the Indian auto segment in the last few weeks. The company has now tweeted on its twitter page that it is offering Nissan Evalia at a price of Rs. 7.99 lakh. This means a reduction of Rs. 1.15 lakh which is pretty tempting. By doing so, the marque is aiming at increasing sales of the MPV before its revamped version steps into the market. Nissan Evalia was launched in Indian market in January, 2012 and it has not been successful when it comes to the sales chart.
Nissan Evalia is available in four variants in Indian market and all variants are powered by a 1.5L diesel engine. The MPV is offered in 7 colours and offers features like manual AC, audio system and electronically adjustable ORVM. The revamped model which is expected to come out in next few weeks may have better quality seats with sliding facility and some cosmetic changes done to the cabin.
The company recently made changes in its hatchback portfolio by upgrading the Micra. The lower-end model of this car has been rolled out as Micra Active and features a tempting price-tag. Nissan has also joined hands with commercial vehicle leader Ashok Leyland to develop the MPV Ashok Leyland Stile. The Stile looks very similar to Nissan Evalia except for the design of front grille.
