Ford India announces Raj Sarkar, as the new vice president of Marketing. Mr. Sarkar comes with 17 years of rich experience in product and consumer marketing of Ford models in North America region. He will be reporting to Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director for Sales, Marketing and Service, Ford India, and will be responsible for overall brand building at Ford India. Joined in 1996, Mr. Sarkar has been handling many important roles in North America, across sales, strategy & marketing and had efficiently handled product and consumer marketing for the F-150 (the core of Ford’s highly successful truck line-up).
“We are very pleased to welcome Raj to Ford India,” said Piparsania. “His extensive marketing experience along with the rich global perspective that he has gained over the years with Ford will surely help us go further with our brand and business in India.” Mr. Sarkar was working as Manager at Lincoln Global Business Strategy, where he was responsible from leading strategic projects and initiatives, handling operations and managing governance for the Global Lincoln team, prior to joining Ford India. Rahul Gautam, who worked earlier as B-car Product Marketing Manager at Ford Asia Pacific, as general manager, Consumer Marketing, will now be responsible for conceptualising and executing brand management programs for India car lines. Ford India has also appointed Vinay Raina as general manager—Product Marketing; who earlier worked as general manager of Sales Planning. Vinay Raina will be responsible for marketing the growing portfolio of Ford nameplates in India.
