While other automobile manufacturers are busy in marketing their cars in various ways, General Motors has quietly launched the facelifted version of its premium SUV Captiva. The SUV which is admired for its quality build and top-class on-road attitude now gets sportier, aggressive and more commanding with minor changes in its exterior. Designers have made modifications to the headlamp and even in the design of front grille. The major change is done to silver skid plates fit underneath the front and rear bumpers. These plates extend through the breadth of bumpers which gives Captiva an aggressive attitude. On the rear the tail lamps get LED which looks contemporary and the circular exhaust pipes are now replaced with rectangular shaped chrome tipped dual exhaust pipes to carry forward the sporty nature of the SUV.

General Motors has maintained the comfort level Captiva’s interior by furnishing it with leather upholstery, cruise control option, adjustable seats and automatic AC with 3rd row AC vents. The 2nd and third row seats can be folded down in various ways to make the boot area roomier.

Coming to the powertrain, General Motors has included a new 2.2L four cylinder VCDi diesel engine which is tuned for better power output. The Captiva also gets an option of an 6-speed automatic and a manual transmission unit to enhance its reign. The facelifted Chevrolet Captiva starts at Rs 23.49 lakhs (ex-showroom).
