Volkswagen has smartly composed its automobile portfolio for the Indian market. After a lot of skepticism over launch of GTD version of its classy hatchback Polo, the marque came out with a GT TSI version. This model, although not as powerful as the GTD version, is doing an impressive role for Volkswagen. With the much anticipated hot hatch GTD not set for release any soon, the auto maker has worked out on launching the CrossPolo for Indian market soon.
Volkswagen CrossPolo is an off-road version of the regular hatchback and it is where the car gets a matte black cladding around the lower part of the body. This body cladding which extends around wheel arches, lower side-body, rear bumper and front bumper gives a much aggressive stance to the hatchback. The front and rear bumper may get silver finished skid plates and there may be changes made to alloy wheels as well. Silver finished roof-rails are also expected in the Volkswagen CrossPolo.
The new car powered by the 1.2L diesel mill will stand above the top-end diesel version in Polo portfolio making it pricier than existing models. The car may carry a price tag of Rs. 7-8.6 lakh.
