As expected Audi seems to have made a clever move as at a time when its rivals are busy launching luxury hatchbacks, Audi has gone ahead and launched its new cut-price variant of the Q3 SUV. The price is Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which makes it fantastic value for money.
The Audi Q3 S has had to undergo some changes and chief of which include the switch to front-wheel drive from four-wheel drive. Some of the other changes include a 140 bhp 2.0 diesel which is some 37 bhp short on the ‘other’ Q3’s plus a six-speed manual gearbox. Buyers of the Q3 S will not get the panoramic sun-roof and the famous Audi DRL’s.
However, you do get cruise control, 6 airbags, rear parking aid and a voice dialogue system plus among other features. As a bonus the first 10 online bookings on the new Audi Q3 S Edition gets the Off-road Style Package free.
So the new Audi Q3 S priced at Rs 24.99 lakh makes for an interesting proposition and will bring in new buyers to the brand plus it will surely eat into sales of the luxury hatches on sale in India.
