BMW India launched its premium road side assistance nationwide - 'BMW Secure Assistance', on 19th August, 2013. The auto maker now has a specially equipped fleet of 17 BMW X3 Customer Service Vehicles (CSV) across India. The innovative 'BMW Secure Assistance', will enable BMW dealerships to provide roadside assistance to customers.
Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said: "BMW has the most desirable product portfolio in India that delivers 'Sheer Driving Pleasure'. Premium Brands require Premium Service. By supporting our product portfolio with best in class after-sales initiative like BMW Secure Assistance, we are setting new benchmarks in customer orientation and aftersales support. A fleet of a specially equipped BMW X3 across our dealer network is a best in class practice amongst premium brands and is focused to exceed the customer expectations and create customer delight."
The specially-equipped fleet CSV will have tyres, special tools and batteries for jump start facility. Featuring reflective warning decals, the CSV is instantly recognisable as a BMW Secure Assistance vehicle. The CSV is also equipped with visibility enhancing features to avoid dangerous situations while working next to moving traffic and provides transport for three people if required to leave the breakdown site.
BMW India has provided a special training program including best in class practices and safety measures related to roadside assistance to the Dealer staff along with the functional, technical and operational usage of these CSVs to make this initiative most effective for customers in case of a breakdown. BMW India currently works with Allianz Global Assistance (AGA) to provide roadside assistance to customer and this cooperation will continue even under the BMW Secure Assistance - to coordinate and monitor in a breakdown situation between dealer, customer & other parties, and to decide the best mode of road assistance from CSV to flat bed vehicle.
