Delhi Hosts Mahindra Reva EV Rally

Mahindra Reva, the India’s most renowned electric vehicle manufacturer organised a rally of electric cars in the country’s capital, New Delhi on 25th August, 2013. This event, called as the ‘Freedom Rally’ by the company, is one of the first rallies of electric cars in the nation and it aimed to spread awareness about increase in fuel prices and pollution and to promote use of electric vehicles for a cleaner and better tomorrow. The rally started off from Hyatt Regency and went through Vivekananda Marg and Nelson Mandela Marg and back to its start point covering a distance of about 14 km. 30 selected cars of two popular mini products, namely e2o and Reva i participated in the event.

Mr. Chetan Maini, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd spoke during the event to say, “We are delighted to be hosting the largest ever gathering of electric vehicles in the country and thankful to our customers for joining hands with us in championing the cause of sustainable and emission-free personal mobility solutions for the future. Our customers are the true proponents of electric vehicles and we sincerely hope that more people will join hands with us in this movement, especially in the current era of rising inflation and fossil fuel costs.”

With an objective to building emission free automobiles, Reva has grown consistently in the country and has reached far west, through its design and functionality. Mahindra Reva works on 5C’s which stand for Clean, Convenient, Connected, Clever and Cost Effective.
