Can there be a better match? We think not. Superstars and Maseratis seem to go along very well and the Venice Film festival is testament to that. At this film festival Maserati had the exclusive courtesy car service and ensured a constant presence of the Trident cars on the red carpet, which will had the various international celebrities attending the Venice Film Festival on board.

Maserati has an established relationship with the world of cinema and there are in fact many films which have seen Trident cars starring in them. The first, in order of time, is “Cronaca di un amore” (Story of a love affair) the 1950 film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. Protagonists of the film were the wonderful Lucia Bosè and an equally elegant Maserati A6 1500, the first granturismo of the House of the Trident.

Among the latest productions to have co-starred a Maserati is the American film “Ocean’s Thirteen” and the French “The Intouchables” – in both cases the protagonist a Maserati Quattroporte. The film “Limitless” also starred Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper and a Maserati GranTurismo.

Maserati has been busy launching new cars with the new Quattroporte and Ghibli with the latter being the first Maserati to have a diesel engine.
