2014 Honda Jazz aka Fit launched in Japan

The 2014 Honda Jazz/Fit has been launched in Japan and with that a whole lot of information has been released. It is clear this new generation Jazz is a game-changer with a new styling direction for Honda. In Japan there are three engine options. There is a 1.3 L DOHC i-VTEC, with 100 PS and 26 kmpl efficiency.

There is a 1.5L i-VTEC engine with 21.8 kmpl efficiency and finally the Fit Hybrid where a i-DCD (Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive) system is placed along with the 1.5 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine. Fuel economy is a stunning 36.4 km per litre.

There is an option of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.

It is not just about that as the 2014 Jazz/Fit is stuffed with features. You get LED headlights, rear view camera, illuminated audio remote control switch, navigation system, Heated door mirrors, capacitive touch screen, cruise control and paddle shifts.

In safety you get driver's seat for i-SRS airbag system and passenger SRS air bag system, Hill start assist function, Idling stop system, Emergency stop signal and VSA (ABS + TCS + sideslip suppression).

The new Jazz looks great and if priced right it can change the marketplace in India with its fantastic packaging.
