The 458 Speciale (new version of the 458 Italia) representing Ferrari’s core philosophy of research and extreme technological innovation will surely thrill auto enthusiasts and fans alike.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale brings a brand new, uncompromising and streamlined sports car concept. Successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia, the 458 Speciale features many of the sophisticated solutions for the first time such as advanced active aerodynamics, which is to become a standard feature in all new Ferraris in future.
What’s more interesting about the yet to debut Ferrari 458 Speciale is its DNA which carries promising performance capacity, performance-oriented sculpted form, advanced technologies, aerodynamically efficiency, super luxury and safety that makes the mid-rear-engined V8 berlinetta a delight to drive for sports car fans.
Going into specific details, the 458 Speciale will be powered by award winning high-rev 4.5L V8 engine which will generate maximum power of 596 hp (which was 562 hp in the 458 Italia) @ 9,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm of torque (remained unchanged). The new sports car will be lighter weighing 1,290 kg (previously 1,485 kg in the 458 Italia) making it much easier to handle on roads. And it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and it can do 0-200 km/h within 9.1 seconds.
Talking about innovative content in the new 458 Speciale, is its Side Slip angle Control system (SSC) which greatly improves driving emotions and another important feature is its specially-developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber which will help the 458 Speciale grip at 1.33 g in lateral acceleration.
Ferrari claims the 458 Speciale to be the highest specific output of any naturally-aspirated engine with quickest response time, featuring advanced active aerodynamics, highest lateral acceleration and a host of other innovative features. Price details are yet to be announced but it is likely to be heftier than the previous 458 Italia.
