Volvo Concept Coupe at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show

By   |   11 September,2013

Easily one of the most beautiful cars of the show, the Volvo Concept Coupe heralds a new direction for Volvo. The new Volvo Concept Coupe is the first of a series of three concept cars created by the company’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA).

The design is simple yet beautiful. The basic proportions are spot on with a low bonnet, roof, and the five-spoke, 21-inch wheels. The front of the concept has the ‘floating’ grille, flanked by headlights having new T-shaped DRL light guides. The rear styling is a lot like the other Volvo's that you see but sportier.

The interior though is pure concept and also quite luxurious with leather instrument panel, inlays made of naturally aged wood and the dark blue woven carpets.

The Volvo Concept Coupe is a petrol plug-in hybrid with 400 hp and over 600 Nm of torque. Overall the Volvo Concept Coupe is a stunning car that does away with the usual overly flashy concept design details and just being a beautiful looking car.
