Mahindra Thar Gets an Update

By Sunita Devi   |   13 September,2013

Mahindra Thar has received few updates to improve some of the factors that customers were not happy about. One of the most important update is the new cross bar placed between the A and B pillar to improve body rigidity. In the older version of Thar, the B pillars used to flex on uneven terrains so the new cross bar has been incorporated as a corrective change. The front axle’s auto locking hubs are removed. And the upgraded Mahindra Thar gets a reliable fixed flange setup.

On its inside, the air conditioning switches are from the Bolero VLX, and to improve rear headroom the rear seats are lowered by 6-7 mm. Mahindra has found a better and easier way to roof off over the driver’s section. Even the canopy has now screws enabling easy removal and reattachment. Also the inner door handles are replaced with better and stronger items.

Mahindra Thar’s new updates can be incorporated in the old Thar without paying anything extra. This definitely is good news for Mahindra Thar customers who want to upgrade their car.
