The Toyota EMR Trophy is the perfect launch pad for budding racers who want to make it big in the world of racing and in stripped out racer spec, the Etios which is one of the best handling midsizers in stock form, turns into a proper grin-inducing race car.
Toyota today announced that the concluding round of the Etios Motor Racing Trophy 2013 will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida as a part of the FMSCI National Racing Championship organized by Madras Motor Sports Club.
That means that this will be the first time that the EMR cars will be driven at the BIC in Greater Noida. The upcoming round of the EMR trophy will be held on the 14th and 15th of September and will be flaggged off on September 14. In total there will be four EMR Trophy races during the fifth leg of the National Racing Championship which along with the scores of the innaugural trophy, will give EMR its first ever trophy champion.
MotorTrend India caught up with Mr.Sanjay Gupta, General Manager, Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor who said that despite the various challenges motorsport faces in India there is an increase in awareness and talent. He also said that the best three EMR drivers of both Trophy I & II will also get the opportunity to race at the Vios Cup scheduled to take place in Thailand this year which a single make racing conducted by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in Thailand.
