Hyundai to hike prices from October 1

By   |   19 September,2013

If you are planning to buy a new Hyundai, be prepared to shell out more as from October 1, the prices of all models from the Eon to the Santa Fe (excluding the Hyundai Grand i10) will be increased by Rs 4,000 to Rs 20,000.

Commenting on the price hike, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing said, “The rupee depreciation and inflationary trends have impacted our input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs but now we are compelled to consider the price increase. We will be increasing the prices from October 01 by Rs.4,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- across models except our new model Hyundai Grand which has been recently launched at an aggressive introductory price.”

Hyundai joins a long list of car-makers who have increased prices and the primary reasons for that include rising input costs and of course our fluctuating rupee.
