The Alfa Romeo 4C is the return of the affordable Italian sports car and by affordable we mean compared to the 8C supercar. There is no doubt that the 4C is stunning with its curves and also will be an epic drive but here Alfa Romeo is taking the fight to Porsche with the Cayman and Boxster in sight.
Built at the Maserati plant in Modena, the mid-engined Alfa Romeo 4C has a new, all-aluminium 1750 Turbo Petrol engine along with the "Alfa TCT" dry twin clutch transmission. As is the norm for supercars these days carbon-fibre has been used for the one-piece monocoque and it is just 65 kg plus being super stiff. The 4C is a compact sports car with a length of less than 4m and a wheelbase of 2.38m. There is more to like as it has a dry weight of 895kg and a 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution.
But again as is with Italian sportscars styling matters and the 4C looks like a shrunken 8C and has more muscle with its compact dimensions. While the headlights might seem wierd there is no denying that with its goegrous wheels, sleek nose and voluptous rear, you will fall in love with this sports car. So there you go the Alfa Romeo 4C is good looking, goes fast and is priced decently- whats not to like?
