Ever wanted a MPV version of the WagonR? Today is your lucky day it seems as Suzuki has revealed a 7-seater version of the WagonR. Called as the WagonR 3 Rows MPV Concept, this is basically a stretched WagonR to accomodate three rows of seats. Shown at the Indonesia Motor Show this could very well an interesting addition to the range in India. Just like the Datsun Go+ which is a MPV version of the GO hatch, the WagonR 3 Rows MPV Concept incorporates 7 seats and little else has changed with the exterior, interior remaining the same.
Not many details are available at this point but it will be likey to have the same engines as the current WagonR. The concept of MPV's spawning from hatchbacks is not new and the Datsun Go+ and Honda Mobilio are expected to expand the compact MPV market in India.
While it still has the concept tag attached to its name we expect to see it go into production and of course its chances of coming to India are very high. Maruti which tasted great success with the Ertiga can have this WagonR MPV play as a more cost efficient MPV providing customers even more choice and yes also finding another profitable niche.
