Tata Motors Sells 50,427 Vehicles in September

Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicles sales in September including exports were 50,427 units. In the domestic front, Tata sold 45,998 units in September 2013. Cumulative sales of the auto maker including exports for the fiscal stood at 3,04,742 units.

In the commercial vehicles segment sales figure stood at 33,119 units, LCV at 24,304 units, and M&HCV sales stood at 8,815 in the domestic market. Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market stood at 2,09,972 numbers, LCV sales at 1,51,851 units, and M&HCV at 58,121 numbers.

Tata Motors sales for the passenger vehicles for September 2013 were 12,879 units. Sales for Indica, Nano and Indigo range stood at 9,766 units and the Sumo, Aria, Safari and Ventura range sales figure stood at 3,113 units. In the passenger vehicles segment, cumulative sales stood at 69,735 units. Cumulative sales for Indica, Indigo and Nano range were 54,546 nos. and cumulative sales of the Safari, Aria, Sumo and Venture range were 15,189 numbers.

Sales in the export segment in September 2013 stood at 4,429 units and cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal stood at 25,035 units. In August, Tata Motors sales declined by 16% percent selling 49,611 units. And in comparison to August 2013 sales, the company’s sales improved marginally in September.
