Maruti Alto 800 has completed a successful year in the highly competitive hatchback segment in Indian auto space. And marking this success, the auto maker (India’s largest car manufacturer) has launched a Maruti Alto 800 Anniversary Edition at Rs. 3.12 lakh. Launched to compete against Hyundai Eon and as succeeding models of Maruti 800 and Alto F8D, the hatch was received with great enthusiasm by Indian customers. The Alto 800 was also available in CNG option giving buyers a different fuel option.
The Anniversary Edition of Alto 800 brings new body graphics, purple haze body colour, blacked-out b-pillar, rear parcel tray, new seat upholstery, body-coloured side mirror and an optional audio system. With the Alto 800 Anniversary Edition, Maruti has launched three special editions in last few months. The Indian auto industry is passing through grim phase where demands are not encouraging for auto makers. And these special editions from Maruti seem to be one of its efforts to keep floating in tough economic times.
However, this Alto 800 Anniversary Edition can bring positive results for the auto manufacturer as festive season has just started in India.
