If one wants to blame the downtrend economic environment for dwindling sales in the world auto markets, Think Again! As Jaguar Land Rover UK has proved it otherwise. In September, Jaguar Land Rover UK has recorded best-ever sales at 10,769 vehicles which is up by 11% as compared to September, 2012 and 13% up on Y-o-Y basis.
Land Rover Defender registered an impressive growth of 30 per cent in comparison to last year sales. And the all new Range Rover September sales were up by 24% as compared to corresponding period in 2012. Launch of the stunning Jaguar F-TYPE (a convertible sports car) has proved good for the auto maker helping it to register higher sales of up to 19%. Sales of Jaguar XF and XJ received higher sales with 12% for XF and 6% for XJ respectively. The Land Rover Discovery sales remained positive and Land Rover Freelander registered higher retail sales of 13% in September and 35% Y-o-Y basis.
Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director, said: “The September sales figures tangibly demonstrate that both Jaguar and Land Rover continue to focus on relevant and highly-desirable product line-ups.” He further added, “With the recent introduction of the all-new Range Rover Sport and F-TYPE coupled with the continued success of our well established models, we have seen more new customers than ever purchasing Jaguar Land Rover award-winning products. Indeed, our new 2014 model year offerings across both brands will be hitting showrooms shortly and will see us build on the successes of the 2013 range."
