The Hyundai Grand i10 it seems has hit the sweet spot with the customers as it has gathered no less than 13,000 bookings. Hyundai's new small car has got of to a flying start and also it seems customers are thinking it makes sense going for the bigger and better equipped Grand i10 rather than the i10. The car has received over 1.31 lakh enquiries ever since its launch and the diesel version seems to be a hit with its frugal drinking habits.
With so much demand Hyundai now intends to ramp up production to clear the amount of bookings as quickly as possible. Hyundai has dispatched around 8411 units, 4500 customer orders are pending. The Hyundai Grand i10 has two engine options- the 1.2 litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol and the 1.1-litre, three cylinder U2 CRDi diesel. Both the engines are available with 5-speed manual transmission.
It is not a surprise that the diesel version is the hot seller as there has been demand for small cars with diesel engines. The Grand i10 it seems has hit the bull eye especially with a starting price of Rs 5.23 lakhs for the diesel.
