The Etios Motor Racing (EMR) Trophy completed its inaugural season this year. Toyota has just announced that it will be taking the winners of the EMR Trophy to Thailand to compete in the Vios One Make Race that is scheduled to be held this week.
The EMR winners Diljith, Akhil Rabindra and Varun V. Anekar will be racing in the third and fourth rounds of Toyota Motorsport 2013. The races will be held in the Chiang Mai province in Northern Thailand on the 19th and 20th of October, and then in the capital city of Bangkok on the 9th and 10th of November. The Vios One Make Race is conducted by the Toyota Motor Thailand together with Toyota Racing Development (TRD). The drivers who are participating will receive necessary training at TRD’s Toyota Racing School in Thailand.
Toyota Motorsport is a motoring carnival held by Toyota Motor and Toyota Racing Development in Thailand comprising of race events, drift shows, car displays, stunt shows and more. Toyota Motorsport will host three racing categories – Vios One Make Race, Vios One Make Ladies Cup and Yaris One Make Race. During the 2013 season, five regional rounds in Thailand and one international round in Malaysia are scheduled to occur.
