Tata Motors Rolls Out Aria Crossover in South Africa

Indian automotive giant Tata Motors launched their crossover, the Aria, in South Africa at the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2013. The Aria is a one of a kind vehicle among the Tata group of vehicles and it has been given some striking new design changes.

It also has a new design on the interiors along with plush, new seats. Safety has also been looked at closely in the new Aria, it gets six airbags that include side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system (TCS), side impact beams and crumple zones specifically designed to minimise deformation of the passenger cabin in the event of a collision. The new Aria also gets an anti lock braking system (ABS) and ultrasonic distance-sensing parking aid.

In addition to the Aria, Tata Motors also launched two commercial vehicles – the Tata Ultra 812 truck and the Tata Prima KL3TXF 6X4 truck at the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2013. The Managing Director of Tata Motors, Mr. Karl Slym, said, “South Africa is one of the focus markets for Tata Motors. We see tremendous potential in the market needs and are confident of designing products to cater to the consumer’s needs here. The new Tata Aria, the Tata Prima KL3TXF 6X4 Truck Tractor and Tata Ultra 812 Truck will be introduced in South Africa in 2014, which will bolster our extensive vehicle portfolio in the country.”
