Volkswagen Jetta Facelift Launched at Rs 13.70 lakh

Volkswagen has launched the updated Jetta sedan for the Indian market. This is along lines of the various product updates and variant launches undertaken by Volkswagen India in the recent months. It started with the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI, Volkswagen Cross Polo and recently the GT TDI and Vento TSI launches. 

Changes summary

1. Xenon headlamps with headlamp washers

2. LED daytime running lights

3. dual-zone Climatronic AC

4. new 16-inch alloy wheels

Alongside these the new Jetta has features like 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 folding rear seat, front- and rear-mounted proximity sensors, Bluetooth-compatible music system, advanced digital instrument panel with multi-function display (MFD), cruise control and paddle shifters for the DSG gearbox.

The petrol and diesel options continue to be the Jetta 1.4L TSI with the 122 horsepower and 200Nm of torque and ARAI-certified 14.69kmpl mileage. The diesel Jetta 2.0L TDI packs in 140 bhp and 320Nm of torque with an ARAI efficiency of 19.33kmpl for the manual and 16.96kmpl for the DSG automatic.

The new Jetta is priced from from Rs 13.70 lakh to Rs 19.43 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. 

Commenting on the launch of the new Volkswagen Jetta, Mr. Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. The new Jetta comes just a few days after the launch of the new Skoda Octavia and it will be interesting to see what the customers prefer, mind you there is also the Hyundai Elantra.
