The Hyundai Grand i10 has been a success and that has been a vital launch for Hyundai India with a diesel automatic version coming soon. In terms of Hyundai India's October sales there was an increase of 0.6 % in domestic sales with 36,002 units sold though exports saw a 38.2 % dip with 14,210 units in comparison to 23,006 units in October 2013. In total the figure for October has been 50,212 units with the exports drop having reduced total sales by 14.6 percent in comparison to October 2012.
Commenting on October sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “In this challenging market environment, sales have increased over last month by 17% on account of monsoons, festival buying and strong sales of 11,519 units of new model Grand which received an overwhelming customer response making it to the top five volume sellers within 2 months of its launch.”
Hyundai now plan to launch more new products which include a MPV and a compact SUV which is very important as the SUV segment is the hottest segment in India and the arrival of a Hyundai in this segment will only means good news for SUV buyers.
