Honda is gearing up to launch its all new City sedan for the Indian market. From what we have heard the teasers and promotions for the new City will start within a few days from now with the car being revealed on the 25th of this month.

The Honda City before the arrival of the Amaze was the main cash cow for Honda India as it covered everything that a midsize car-buyer wants or needs. The only chink in its armour was the lack of a diesel engine which obviously will be rectified in the new City.

We tried to get as much information as possible from our sources and here is what we got. For starters the new City will have a different agenda this time compared to its predecessors as the task of being the best-seller has been handed over to the Honda Amaze compact sedan.

The all new City will be bigger and more premium than the current one with even more space plus it will have more features than before. Both the exterior and interiors will be more premium with more chrome used infact the new City can end up a lot looking like the Honda Crider sedan pictured here. You can see it is more grown up looking but also more plush.

Top-end versions will have LED's and will be loaded with features plus there will be an automatic option though only with the petrol engine. Speaking of engines the all new Honda City will have a diesel unit from the Amaze promising excellent fuel economy as a result though the petrol will also be fuel efficient.

We hear the all new City might be more expensive than the current model which given the fact that it has now more features and is bigger can only be expected. Honda has a lot of products lined up for us in the future and the new City is only the start.
