Renault Duster Anniversary Edition First Look Review

By   |   11 November,2013

French automaker Renault recently launched the anniversary edition of their super popular SUV, the Duster, to mark the completion of 1 year of its sales a little under a month ago.

This Duster 1st Anniversary Edition is available only on the top end RxZ 110 PS variant and it comes with a special ‘Cosmos blue’ paint job that is not available in the standard list of colours for the Duster. Also available are “1st Anniversary Edition” decals on the sides and rear view mirrors finished in silver with integrated turn indicators; although this last option is available on regular Dusters as well, as an extra.

Providing the drive on the 1st Anniversary Edition Duster is the Renault K9K 1.5 litre, 109 bhp diesel engine that churns out a healthy 248 Nm of torque that is linked to a 6 speed manual transmission. It must also be pointed out that the 1st Anniversary Edition variant is dearer by Rs. 50,000 over the regular RxZ 110 PS model.

But potential customers need not be worried about the premium since Renault is giving several other benefits as well. Exchange benefits of up to Rs. 60,000, additional 2 year warranty, free roadside assistance for 4 years and free ‘Gang of Dusters’ community membership will also be offered by the company. Do keep in mind that a face-lifted Duster was launched during the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and since the SUV segment wars are really getting frenzied, Renault will be looking to launch this new version early next year.
