Mahindra Net Ascends By 9.7% in Q2

The Board of Directors at Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s largest SUV maker, announced the financial results of the company for the second quarter of 2013. It must be noted that these results are unaudited as of 13th November, 2013. Also, Mr. V.S.Parthasarathy takes over as the company’s CFO today.

The gross revenues for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. for the quarter that ended on the 30th of September, 2013 is Rs. 9,890.6 crores as compared to Rs. 10,891.4 crores during the same period of last year. However, the net profit after taxes for Q2 of 2013 is Rs. 989.5 crores against Rs. 901.8 crores during Q2 of last year.

For the half year period that ended on the 30th of September this year, the gross revenue and other incomes of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. was Rs. 20,778.4 crores against Rs. 21007.2 crores for the same period in 2012. The profit after taxes during H1 of 2013 is Rs. 1927.4 crores as compared to Rs. 1627.4 crores during the same half year period of last year.

For the entire Mahindra Group, the consolidated gross revenues and other incomes for the second quarter of this year stood at Rs. 18,675 crores (US$ 3.3 billion) as compared to Rs. 17,973 crores (US$ 3.2 billion) in Q2 last year, which is a growth of 3.9%.
