Vezel is Honda's EcoSport Rival

By   |   20 November,2013

The much awaited production version of Honda's Urban SUV concept has been revealed and it is called as Vezel. The Vezel in production form carries on a lot of design cues from the concept version and to some extent has a 'shrunken CR-V' vibe to it. The name is for the Japanese market and it will be launched in Europe during 2015, with the name of the European model being confirmed nearer to launch.

The front is the most impressive part with its big sharp headlamps and a coupe-ish design body. The interior is futuristic with its edgy styling and it is spacious plus not to mention it has a lot of features present. In Japan, Honda will launch both a hybrid and petrol model of the Vezel. The hybrid model will be equipped with Sport Hybrid i-DCD. The Japanese model will be launched on 20th December 2013.

The Vezel is very important for India too as Honda will launch it late next year or in early 2015 which means fulfilling a very important segment space. The Vezel will come with the diesel engine as the Amaze which is extremely important for its India fortunes.

Along with the diesel the Vezel will also have a 1.5 litre petrol engine. Its too early to talk about pricing but it will be slightly more expensive than the Jazz hatch but suffice to say it will be competitively priced.
