Skoda India has entered into collaboration with the Gurgaon Rapid Metro to promote its Rapid sedan. The train on the Gurgaon Rapid metro line will have images of the Skoda Rapid down its entire length.
For now, the alliance will last for a period of three months Skoda might or might not extend it depending on the response to this campaign. The rapid metro travels through target areas of potential Skoda Rapid buyers such as DLF cyber city, Unitech corporate park and other corporate hubs. Conveniently, the metro line of Gurgaon itself is named Rapid Metro and this ad campaign should reach an estimated 6-7 lakh individuals. In addition to this, the Rapid Metro line is also visible from the Delhi – Jaipur highway; a route that is used by approximately 1 lakh commuters on a daily basis.
The Rapid was launched by Skoda towards the end of 2011 and it is priced from Rs. 7.16 lakhs (ex showroom, Gurgaon). The sedan has sold over 35,000 vehicles, making it one of the company’s best-selling models by far.
