Honda has done it earlier with the Amaze and now it has done it again with the new City. Yes you heard that right! The new Honda City diesel is the most fuel efficient car in its class with an astonishing mileage of 26 kmpl (ARAI). The Honda City diesel has long been something that customers wanted and they have got it big time now. The diesel City thus beats the Amaze thanks to the 6-speed manual which increases the efficiency plus the engine has been tuned for that.
As you have known before the fourth gen Honda City gets a petrol and a diesel engine. The diesel Honda City gets a 1.5 i-DTEC engine making 98 bhp and a 1.5l petrol engine making 118 bhp. The petrol manual is efficient too giving 17.8 kmpl mileage (ARAI).
The new Honda City in petrol auto guise is also India's most efficient petrol automatic with an 18 kmpl efficiency with the CVT gearbox while the diesel gets a 6-speed manual. Note that the CVT model is more efficient than the manual petrol model. Our first look review of the new Honda City gives you our views regarding the styling and interior details.
