Honda Motor Company will initiate sales of its new compact SUV, the Vezel, in Japan on the 20th of December. We feel that this is an important event since the Vezel is bound to come to India sooner or later. The vehicle’s design intends to combine the elegance of a coupe, the dynamics of an SUV and the practicality of a minivan.
The Vezel will be available both as a petrol powered version and as a hybrid. The hybrid variant will be equipped with Honda’s next generation Sport Hybrid i-DCD system coupled together with a 1.5 litre direct injection engine. Both the petrol and the hybrid variants have the option of being ordered with 4 wheel drive. Additionally, the Vezel Hybrid will be the first hybrid from Honda to be equipped with Real Time All Wheel Drive, which is a system that uses electronic controls to manage torque distribution to the front and rear wheels effectively.
All the variants of the Honda Vezel come standard with an electric parking brake, automatic brake hold and high performance soundproofing materials and dampers that result in a very quiet and relaxing driving experience.
