Radical Indian design house DC Design has just pulled the covers off their version of the Ford EcoSport and my, is it a looker? The car has been completely redesigned inside and out and the car has now taken on a very dark but futuristic appearance.
The headlights have been bumped down into the front bumper and the region which originally housed the headlamps now shines with the new LED daytime running lights. The bumper itself now sports a massive airdam. On the inside, the once five seater compact SUV is now a four seater.
While the basic layout of the dashboard remains, a lot of changes have occurred there. The interior is mostly swathed in beige with contrasting grey and the seats are now electrically adjustable. The rear seat passengers, in addition to being provided a facility to recline their seats, also get air-conditioning from a blower unit that looks a lot like an old jet engine.
The occupants at the back also get two huge LCD screens and even the front LCD of Ford’s SYNC system has been thrown out to be replaced with something larger. But by far one of the best features seen on this new car is the mood lighting featured on the vehicle’s roof. All that remains to be known is what price DC pegs this Ford EcoSport at.
