Its raining fast cars and within a few days Audi will unleash the stunning RS7 in the Indian market. To be launched on Jan 6th it is the first launch of the year. As the name suggests this is the fastest iteration of the Audi A7 and is filled with tech plus not to mention horsepower. The number is 560 bhp which is a supercar bothering figure for sure. The RS7 uses a 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 which has peak torque of 700 Nm.
With all this power an eight-speed tiptronic transmission featuring shortened shift times and offering ‘Sport’ and ‘Manual’ modes in addition to the standard ‘Drive’ setting comes in handy. For manual shifts drivers can use the paddles on the steering wheel or the RS-specific selector lever.
Of course being an Audi it has the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring, a self-locking centre differential with an elevated locking value and a sport differential on the rear axle. Along with the performance the RS7 also looks the part as being an RS the looks are even more sportier than before.
You get 20-inch alloy wheels in a seven twin-spoke design, high gloss black honeycomb radiator grille, a diffuser and two large, elliptical exhaust tailpipes. There are nine exterior colours, including the new Nardo Grey and the exclusive Daytona Grey matte, will be available, along with two optional exterior design packages – Matt Aluminium or Carbon.
We expect the RS7 to be priced at about Rs 1.2 crore which means this is a more practical alternative to the supercars out there.
