American auto maker Ford seems to have taken the cheap and cheerful ideology for their EcoSport compact SUV and thrown it into a bin. Less than a year after the launch of the EcoSport, the company has bumped its prices up for the second time.
Also not helping the Ford EcoSport is the gigantic waiting period and the fact that Ford is not offering customers who booked the car earlier on any sort of price protection; meaning that they will have to pay not the older, lower rate for the car but the prevailing rate when they take delivery. Ford has even halted accepting bookings for the EcoSport and it is likely to resume only after a month. One can be sure that rivals like the Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano will try to milk this situation as best as they can.
